Hebron, Departing from Jerusalem
T'ruah's interdenominational Year-in-Israel Student Program invites rabbinical, cantorial, and Jewish education students (and students' partners) to join us on Friday March 8th from 8:30am-2:30pm for a trip to Hebron provided by T'ruah and Breaking the Silence!
We will leave from Gan haPa'amon in Jerusalem at 8:30 am, spend part of the day with our guide from Breaking the Silence, learning about the city from the perspective of a former IDF soldier who served in Hebron, and part of the day visiting the Palestinian side of the city, and meeting with members of Women in Hebron, a fair-trade collective. We will return to Gan haPa'amon by 2:30pm.
(candlelighting in Jerusalem is at 5:01pm)
Following the trip, there will be a required discussion session on Monday March 11th from 7:30-9:30pm at Beit Shmuel, behind HUC.
Please RSVP soon, as last year we had a waiting list! RSVP to Marisa James, T'ruah's Rabbinical Student Fellow in Israel at mjames@truah.org. |
